Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Carpenter / Installation Technician** to support our smart lock business in the UAE.
The role involves installing, adjusting, and fitting smart locks on wooden and metal doors at customer sites, ensuring high-quality finishing and proper alignment.
Candidates with a **valid driving license will be preferred**.
Key Responsibilities
- Install smart locks on wooden, metal, and fire-rated doors at customer locations
- Modify door structures (if required) to fit smart lock systems properly
- Ensure precise alignment of locks, latches, and door hardware
- Conduct site inspections before installation to assess requirements
- Perform troubleshooting and adjustments for installed smart locks
- Work closely with the sales and technical team to complete installations on time
- Handle drilling, cutting, chiseling, and fitting work with accuracy
- Maintain installation tools and ensure proper handling of equipment
- Ensure clean and professional finishing after installation
- Provide basic product explanation to customers after installation if needed
- Follow safety standards and company installation procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter, door installer, or handyman
- Strong knowledge of door fitting, lock installation, and alignment work
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Good attention to detail and finishing quality
- Ability to work independently and on-site across different locations
- Basic communication skills (English/Hindi/Arabic is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UAE **manual driving license (preferred / added advantage)**
- Experience in **hardware fittings, door accessories, or security systems**
- Prior experience with electronic or smart lock installation is a plus
- Knowledge of wooden and metal door structures in UAE buildings
Key Performance Indicators (Kpis)
- Number of successful installations per day/week
- Installation quality (no rework / customer complaints)
- On-time completion of assigned jobs
- Proper handling and minimal damage to doors/locks/materials
- Customer satisfaction feedback
Work Conditions
- Field-based job (UAE-wide travel required)
- Daily site visits and installations
- May require flexible working hours based on customer schedule
- Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
