Pilot Coffee Roasters is hiring a Cafe Supervisor for its Union Station cafe team.
The role supports cafe operations and team leadership.
Operations
- Work with the Cafe Manager on monthly sales budgets and desired results.
- Monitor weekly and monthly labour targets and adjust as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked cafe and ensure staff follow daily and weekly checklists.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving while minimizing waste and overhead.
- Report and resolve order inaccuracies and quality issues; execute projects that improve the business.
People leadership
- Promote company values and foster an inclusive culture that respects people from diverse backgrounds.
- Inspire, delegate, communicate, coach, and guide team or project members.
- Assist with training in POS, barista work, customer service, retail, and health and safety.
- Enforce staff policies and standards, including customer service, cash handling, and punctuality.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanour under pressure and communicate PoP Award recommendations to the Cafe Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous barista or cafe experience is required.
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Experience operating a POS system is required.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
- A Food Handler’s Certificate is preferred.
Pay
- Starting wage is $18.50–$18.75 per hour.
