Position overview

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing through supplier-network maintenance, sourcing, quotations, cost analysis, timely order placement, delivery monitoring, and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors on delivery, schedules, purchase orders, and cost estimates.
• Notify the Supply Chain Manager and Materials Manager promptly about potential material-delivery delays.
• Track orders through fulfillment and expedite them according to production scheduling needs.
• Maintain vendor files covering lead times, pricing, confirmations, and vendor-related issues.
• Improve purchasing processes and propose ways to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain management, mechanical or industrial engineering, operations management, accounting, or finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems, and other required or trained IT applications.
• Accurate shipment tracking and documentation; strong organization, prioritization, project management, and deadline management.
• Strong written and verbal communication and effective collaboration with warehouse, production, transportation, and external partners.
• Demonstrated career ambition and a track record of growth and increasing responsibility.

Compensation

• Salary range is CAD $30–$32 per hour.

Workplace

• 100% in-office presence at the Surrey, British Columbia location; no remote work.
