Role Overview

Join the Procurement Data and Tools team, which builds internal applications, dashboards, pipelines, and tools for procurement teams.

The role combines software development, data engineering, analytics, automation, and product thinking.

The team uses AI coding agents as a central part of its development workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand procurement workflows and turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements.
  • Build and maintain internal applications, reports, data pipelines, data models, automations, and integrations.
  • Use coding agents to define, implement, review, and verify production-ready software.
  • Answer business questions through data analysis and communicate findings clearly.
  • Apply product and UI/UX judgment to improve usability.
  • Experiment with agent tools and workflows and create reusable team improvements.
  • Deploy, support, and improve solutions using real-world feedback.
  • Learn and apply new technologies as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

  • Have 2–6+ years of experience building applications, internal tools, automations, or data solutions.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrate product judgment, clear communication, and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into practical solutions.
  • Bring a curious, self-directed approach and the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
  • Be proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language.
  • Have hands-on experience using coding agents for nontrivial development.
  • Have experience with Git, GitHub or similar platforms, terminal development, and basic CI/CD.
  • Have working familiarity with SQL, relational data, data transformation, integration, and managed cloud services.

Candidate Context

Relevant examples may come from professional, academic, open-source, or independent work.

Candidates should be able to explain the problems addressed, decisions made, tradeoffs, exclusions, and individual contributions.

For AI-assisted work, candidates should explain how they guided the work, checked results, and learned from limitations.

Compensation

  • Pay range is $120,000 to $160,000 per year.

Benefits

  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid leave, retirement plans, and discretionary or metric-based bonuses.
