Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analytics

Position overview

Job responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the organization’s reporting portfolio and automate manual data processes.
• Execute reporting and data science projects, analyze trends, and build predictive models and algorithms.
• Use advanced analytics and statistics to answer business questions and provide strategic recommendations.
• Document processes for internal knowledge-base projects.
• Develop and manage automated reporting systems and dashboards for event sales, revenue trends, ticketing, performance marketing, and customer behavior.
• Support accurate custom data sources in data warehouse environments.
• Recommend data-driven improvements to ticket pricing, event marketing, and event profitability.
• Partner with marketing, ticketing, and sales teams to grow revenue and improve customer experience.
• Partner with finance and other stakeholders to identify and track key metrics.
• Identify, extract, and analyze data; turn complex information into actionable insights.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; preferred concentrations are business analytics, finance, information systems, statistics, or economics.
• Zero to 12 months of professional experience with a sports team, league, agency, promoter, or arena supporting data warehousing, dashboarding and reporting, CRM operations, and audience identification.
• Ability to write SQL queries and familiarity with relational databases.
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and experience with data visualization; Tableau is preferred.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot to optimize workflows.
• Ability to construct and communicate statistical model and algorithm outputs using R, Python, or other open-source technology.
• Understanding of ticket operations and price-code nomenclature; Ticketmaster or Archtics experience is preferred.
• CRM system operations familiarity is a plus.
• Interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and willingness to self-teach.
• Google Analytics 4 and PowerPoint, Canva, or other presentation-tool experience are pluses.

• Must have a valid driver’s license, suitable driving history, be insurable by the employer’s carrier, and have reliable transportation.
