About This Role

Our Client

We are currently partnering with a well-established commodities trading business in Dubai that is looking to hire a Business Development Manager as part of its commercial growth plans. This search is focused on identifying a commercially credible professional with sector-relevant experience, established regional exposure, and a proven ability to build business within the commodities trading market.

Your Role

This role will take ownership of business development activity across the Dubai market, with a particular focus on expanding commercial reach across key export corridors. The successful individual will be expected to identify new client opportunities, strengthen strategic relationships, and contribute to revenue growth through a disciplined and market-informed approach.

This is a role for someone who understands the commercial realities of the market, can open relevant doors, and is comfortable operating across regional trade corridors with a clear focus on revenue generation and relationship development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development activity across the commodities trading sector
  • Originate and develop new client relationships within the Dubai market
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships that support commercial growth
  • Support export-led business development across MENA and Africa markets
  • Identify new market opportunities, client segments, and regional trade channels
  • Maintain close visibility on market activity, customer demand, and commercial priorities
  • Contribute to revenue growth through structured relationship development and opportunity conversion

Must Have

  • English and Arabic speaker
  • Proven experience operating within the Dubai market
  • Prior commodities trading experience is must
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience across business development, exports, or trading
  • Demonstrated track record in winning new business and managing strategic partnerships
  • Strong analytical thinking with a structured, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
