Business Development Manager- Data Center Solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver significant and sustainable growth in the Data Center vertical in the North America region. Serve as the primary interface for the Data Center vertical and all related stakeholders (internal and third-party), including hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise operators, ensuring their specific needs are translated into concrete central actions and support activities. Translate the global data center strategy to the North American market and execute. Define and implement a robust go-to-market strategy, efficient processes, and KPIs for continuous improvement. Translate specific product and facility security needs into well-defined product requirements. Act as the key interface of AAES for internal partners (HID) and third-party entities, including security integrators and technology partners. Coordinate major projects, including key account activities, to meet cross-division, business unit, and business area product/portfolio requirements. Build and maintain relationships with owners, design-build firms, general contractors, consulting engineers, and security consultants to influence specifications early in the design phase. Monitor competition and gather market intelligence for the Data Center offering, including facility build-out trends, campus expansion activity, and evolving physical security and compliance standards. What You Will Need: Minimum 5 years of experience in global and international sales or business development. Experience in the data center industry / environment, including hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise facilities. Experience in physical security and access control for critical infrastructure, such as security vestibules (mantraps), security revolving doors, turnstiles, or high-security entrances. Higher education with a technical degree or commercial degree. Fundamental knowledge of the data center industry and/or identification and reader technologies / biometrics. Familiarity with data center security and compliance frameworks (e.g., Uptime Institute tiers, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) and how they drive physical access requirements. Experience and network among data center developers, operators, design-build firms, and security integrators. Ability to navigate within a complex matrix organization. Experience in driving RFI, RFQ, and tendering processes and influencing specification business. Proactive and entrepreneurial attitude and capability to understand technical interconnections and complexities. Ability to work strategically, tactically, and operationally (hands-on mentality). Strong technical understanding (hardware, software, solutions, application layer). Strong business orientation, drive, and results focus. Strategic sales development to establish business plans and convert them into sales and activity plans.
