Business Development Manager (BDM)
About This Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in steel structures, PEB, fabrication, or construction sectors, with a proven ability to generate leads, secure projects, and build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in KSA market (industrial, commercial, infrastructure sectors)
- Generate leads through client meetings, networking, and market research
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and developers
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals in coordination with estimation and engineering teams
- Handle pre-bid meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions
- Achieve sales targets and revenue goals set by management
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project pipelines
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, production, projects) for smooth execution
- Maintain CRM data and provide regular sales reports and forecasts
- Support in tender submissions and project follow-ups
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Business Administration / Marketing
- Minimum 5–10 years experience in business development within steel fabrication / PEB / construction industry
- Strong network and experience in Saudi Arabia market (mandatory)
- Proven track record in project sales and client acquisition
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to handle high-value deals and multiple clients
- Familiarity with tendering process, contracts, and commercial terms
- Valid driving license (preferred)
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of steel structure, PEB, façade, or industrial projects
- Experience working with consultants, EPC contractors, and developers in KSA
- Strong understanding of pricing, costing, and project lifecycle
- Arabic language skills (added advantage)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Monthly / Quarterly sales target achievement
- Number of new clients acquired
- Value of projects secured
- Lead conversion ratio
- Client retention and relationship management
