Role Description
The Business Development Manager role at ProductTank Abu Dhabi is a part-time, hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home.
The role involves identifying and building relationships with potential partners, sponsors, and collaborators to support the growth and sustainability of the chapter.
On a day-to-day basis, the Business Development Manager will research and approach relevant organizations, manage outreach campaigns, and maintain a pipeline of partnership opportunities.
The role also includes coordinating with the organizing team to align partnership activities with events, overseeing sponsorship agreements, and ensuring partners receive agreed visibility and value.
The Business Development Manager will track performance metrics, prepare brief reports, and help shape strategies to expand the chapter’s reach within the local and regional product community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in business development, partnership building, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with community engagement, event support, or working with professional networks and associations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse professional audiences.
- Organizational and planning abilities, including managing multiple initiatives, timelines, and follow-ups.
- Familiarity with product management or related fields (such as technology, design, or entrepreneurship) is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using digital tools for collaboration, CRM or contact tracking, and basic data reporting.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and coordinate effectively with a volunteer or cross-functional team.
- Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing, communications, or a similar discipline.
