Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in client service, or business development, preferably within ports, maritime, or public-sector environments.
  • Strong understanding of maritime and coastal operations, governance, and procurement processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with InDesign, Microsoft Copilot, or other AI-enabled productivity tools is helpful but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Ability to follow established processes, ask good questions, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfort working with technical staff and turning source information into clear, well-organized content.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another customer relationship management system is helpful but not required.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market intelligence into actionable plans.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Background in public-sector, port, or grant-funded projects.
  • Experience in clean technology, energy, or sustainable infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with federal and state funding programs and procurement processes.
