Role overview

Responsibilities

• Analyze data for trends, patterns, anomalies, relationships and opportunities beyond standard reporting.
• Turn findings into recommendations and actions supporting measurable outcomes.
• Apply statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation and advanced techniques to business problems.
• Explore predictive analytics and machine learning to identify drivers and anticipate outcomes.
• Partner with leaders to frame analytical questions and advise on strategic and operational decisions.
• Use generative AI tools for data exploration, research, analysis and insight generation.
• Work with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance and other teams to identify analytical opportunities.
• Build dashboards, scorecards and visualizations where appropriate.
• Use SQL, Python, Domo, Power BI, Tableau and other tools to analyze and communicate data.
• Partner with BI Developers and data teams to ensure reliable data and scalable solutions.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related analytical, business, finance, economics or computing field.
• 5+ years in analytics, BI, data science, financial analytics, market research, statistics or a related role; retail or data-driven experience preferred.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, with experience in statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation or predictive analytics.
• Experience with tools such as Python, Domo, Power BI, Tableau, R or similar.
• Familiarity with machine learning and generative AI tools is expected; interest in emerging technology.
• Business acumen, strategic thinking, problem-solving and ability to work with ambiguity.
• Communication and stakeholder skills to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences.

Compensation

• Salary is CAD 71,000 to CAD 78,000, with a yearly eligible 5% bonus.
