Role overview

The Business Analyst bridges business needs and technical solutions, translating objectives into clear, outcome-focused delivery requirements.

The role supports NS&I's Business Transformation Programme through scope definition, process modelling, gap analysis, requirements, feasibility, funding approvals and benefits realisation.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate root causes of business problems or opportunities and shape projects to address identified needs.
  • Analyse current and proposed processes and use gap analysis to define implementation actions.
  • Prepare objective reports and presentations to support communication and decision-making.
  • Evaluate options and support business-case development through funding approval.
  • Elicit and define requirements for business and IT change, ensuring traceability and alignment with delivery partners.
  • Support business acceptance testing and deployment of business and IT changes.

Qualification

  • BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent.

Workplace

  • The role is hybrid, with colleagues expected to work at their chosen office 40% of their working month.
  • Offices are in London, Durham, Preston and Glasgow.

Contract and benefits

  • The contract is fixed term or loan for 23 months.
  • The stated salary range is £49,600–£54,500, with location-specific ranges.
