Business Analyst

Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Analyze core banking business requirements, processes, workflows, and functional needs.
• Act as a subject matter expert on core banking processes and functional requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and document requirements with business stakeholders.
• Prepare BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

Delivery collaboration

• Work with product, engineering, QA, and implementation teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
• Provide functional expertise during solution design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.
• Participate in workshops, functional discussions, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios and validate functional outcomes.

Testing and improvement

• Support User Acceptance Testing and help resolve functional issues.
• Analyze existing banking processes and identify process improvement and digital transformation opportunities.
• Identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and potential impacts associated with business requirements.
• Stay current with banking processes, regulations, industry practices, and technology trends.

Required experience

• 7–15 years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting, banking product consulting, or a related role.
• Strong and demonstrable core banking domain experience.
• Good understanding of core banking products, processes, and banking operations.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and specifying business requirements.

Required capabilities

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional business, product, technology, QA, and implementation teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

Preferred experience

• Experience with banking technology transformation or implementation projects is advantageous.
• Experience with core banking platforms, banking transformation, digital banking, or client-facing consulting environments is preferred.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, microservices, or modern banking technology architecture is an added advantage.
• Experience working with global banking clients is advantageous.
