Business Analyst – Role Description & Qualifications
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support business process improvement, requirements gathering, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about understanding business needs, improving processes, and translating requirements into clear and actionable solutions.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely with stakeholders to identify business challenges, gather requirements, and document functional and non-functional specifications.
The role involves analyzing business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities, and supporting the design of effective solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
Key responsibilities
include preparing business requirement documents, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
The analyst will also support testing activities such as user acceptance testing (UAT), validate solutions against requirements, and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
The role involves analyzing data and generating insights to support decision-making, tracking key performance indicators, and assisting in reporting and dashboard development.
The Business Analyst will also collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented and aligned with business goals.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
A structured approach to understanding processes and translating them into requirements is essential.
Candidates should have familiarity with business analysis concepts, basic data analysis skills, and proficiency in tools such as Excel and documentation software.
Exposure to SQL, business intelligence tools, or process modeling tools is considered an advantage.
Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders, documenting requirements clearly, and facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical teams.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities is important for success in this role.
Preferred qualifications
- include a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, Agile frameworks, and software development lifecycle concepts is highly valued.
