BIM Specialist (Civil 3D)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead BIM delivery, coordination, and improvements to BIM standards and workflows.
• Act as Civil 3D subject matter expert and support multidisciplinary digital engineering teams.
• Support BIM execution planning, model coordination, clash detection, and information management.
• Develop and review Civil 3D models for transportation, tunnels, utilities, earthworks, and construction staging; ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Produce geotechnical and ground engineering models, including borehole interpretation, geological profiling, and subsurface modelling.
• Manage CDEs, GIS integration, Open BIM deliverables, interoperability, and information exchange.
• Mentor BIM professionals and contribute to delivery strategies, bids, standards, training, and technical guidance.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 8–15 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in infrastructure projects.
• Advanced Civil 3D expertise in modelling, corridor design, Subassembly Composer, earthworks analysis, and quantity estimation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM standards, information management, and digital delivery practices.
• Experience integrating Civil 3D with Navisworks, Revit, ACC, Bentley platforms, GIS, and Open BIM workflows.
• Proficiency in geotechnical modelling, ground data management, constructability, and vehicle tracking analysis.
• Ability to develop automation solutions with Dynamo, AutoLISP, Rhino.Inside Civil 3D, or other digital engineering tools.
• Autodesk Civil 3D and BIM certifications are advantageous.
