BIM and information management
- Lead project BIM and digital information management strategy and maintain the BIM Execution Plan.
- Ensure BIM deliverables meet contractual and client requirements; establish standards, modelling procedures, naming conventions, classification, and exchange protocols.
- Manage information requirements including MIDP, TIDP, responsibility matrices, model responsibility matrices, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor deliverables against project milestones and information delivery dates.
Coordination and model quality
- Lead coordination across architecture, structure, MEP, interiors, medical equipment, specialist systems, infrastructure, and other disciplines.
- Manage federated model alignment, clash detection strategy, tests, tolerances, issue workflows, and coordination meetings.
- Track issues through assignment, resolution, verification, and closure; coordinate with RFIs, design changes, technical submissions, shop drawings, and site conditions.
- Establish model QA/QC and audit procedures; check model health, compliance, information completeness, and suitability for project uses.
CDE and project delivery
- Support CDE setup, configuration, administration, and governance, including information states, sharing, approvals, revisions, permissions, and document-control workflows.
- Support design development, technical design, construction, commissioning, and handover; coordinate design intent and construction models.
- Support constructability reviews, site coordination, 4D sequencing, 5D quantity/cost integration, digital engineering, and BIM-related RFI resolution as required.
Asset information and reporting
- Coordinate closeout, as-built models, asset information, COBie or other structured data, and digital handover with client, facilities, and asset-management teams.
- Maintain dashboards and reports on model status, deliverables, coordination progress, outstanding issues, compliance, and KPIs.
- Identify BIM automation and process improvements using tools such as Dynamo, Python, Power Automate, or APIs where appropriate.
Team leadership
- Direct BIM coordinators, engineers, modelers, and discipline BIM leads; allocate tasks, mentor team members, provide training, and promote consistent practices.
- Drive collaboration among design, construction, and project-management teams and continuous improvement of digital delivery.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant AEC/BIM experience is preferred; prior BIM Manager, Information Manager, Digital Delivery Manager, BIM Lead, or senior coordination experience is specified.
- Proven delivery experience on large-scale, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- BIM Management/Information Management qualification or certification is advantageous; GCC/UAE project experience is preferable.
Healthcare project experience
- Hospital or healthcare BIM management and multidisciplinary coordination experience is highly preferable.
- Relevant project systems may include HVAC, specialist ventilation, electrical and ELV, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, medical equipment, nurse call, clinical areas, operating theatres, plant rooms, and specialist vendor packages.
- The role calls for understanding high-density MEP coordination and specialist-system interfaces in healthcare facilities.
Technical knowledge and software
- Core tools: Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and AutoCAD.
- Core methods: model federation, clash detection and issue management, CDE workflows, BIM QA/QC, ISO 19650 principles, BEP, MIDP/TIDP, LOD/LOI, and information delivery planning.
- Power BI or similar reporting platforms may support data-driven project reporting; Dynamo, Python, Power Automate, and APIs may support automation.
