Bilingual Advisor, Cloud Infrastructure Design and Engineering

Role overview

What you'll do

• Evaluate cloud services, infrastructure platforms, and technologies; conduct technical, operational, risk, and cost analyses.
• Design cloud solutions balancing security, scalability, resilience, availability, supportability, performance, and cost.
• Ensure designs meet security, privacy, risk, resilience, regulatory, and OSFI requirements.
• Research, validate, and pilot technologies, vendors, and services; contribute to strategy and modernization.
• Govern infrastructure standards, reference architectures, reusable patterns, policies, guardrails, and API platform requirements.
• Establish secure, scalable foundations for AI platforms, including landing zones, networking, identity, access, observability, and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership through design governance, mentoring, stakeholder influence, risk management, and advisory support.

What you should have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in senior technical roles; enterprise-scale delivery, architecture, and roadmap experience.
• Extensive Azure, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid environment expertise, including design, validation, governance, and operations.
• Knowledge of application platforms, middleware, virtualization, IaaS, PaaS, IaC, capacity planning, and platform architecture.
• Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, Linux/UNIX, and containerized platform experience; DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native practices.
• Deep understanding of networking, data and database platforms, cloud security, identity/access management, encryption, monitoring, compliance, and resiliency.
• Expertise in AI platform infrastructure and API management platform design and governance.

Workplace and language

• Hybrid position with Montreal or Ottawa office locations; limited travel requirement.
• Bilingual designation with BBB reading, writing, and speaking skill levels.

Compensation

• Salary range is CAD 129,175.28 to CAD 161,469.09, based on qualifications and experience.
