Requirements

  • Journeyman-level technician capable of independently performing startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support activities.
  • · Experience: 2-5 years of BAS, controls, HVAC, or automation experience.
  • · High school diploma or GED.
  • · Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • · Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and sequence-of-operation documents.
  • · Basic understanding of HVAC systems and control devices.
  • · Proficiency with computers, networking fundamentals, and software applications.
  • · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • · Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • · Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform work on ladders, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and construction sites.
  • · Associate degree or technical training in HVAC, electronics, controls, automation, or a related field.
  • · Experience with Building Automation Systems.
  • · Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, IP, LonWorks, or similar communication protocols.
  • · Experience with Tridium Niagara, Alerton, Siemens, Compass, or similar BAS platforms.
  • · Experience working in healthcare, data center, government, educational, or commercial facilities.
  • · Previous commissioning or startup experience.
  • Success Measures
  • · Completes point-to-point checkout accurately and efficiently.
  • · Identifies and resolves startup issues with minimal supervision.
  • · Produces complete and accurate documentation.
  • · Delivers systems that pass commissioning and owner acceptance testing.
  • · Maintains strong working relationships with customers and project teams.
  • · Contributes to safe, profitable, and successful project execution.
  • Salary Range: $35-$45 hourly DOE
