Full Job Posting

  • Preparing and serving drinks to a consistent standard - classic cocktails through to our own creations
  • Setting up and closing down the bar, including stock rotation and mise en place
  • Keeping the bar, glassware and equipment clean and presentable throughout service
  • Basic wine and spirit knowledge to advise guests and make recommendations
  • Following recipes and pour standards so every drink is consistent, whoever's on shift
  • Taking part in regular stock takes and keeping accurate records
  • Supporting menu costing and pricing, so the drinks list stays profitable as well as popular
  • Helping with menu engineering — knowing what earns its place on the list and what doesn't
  • Ordering and rotating stock, and keeping on top of wastage
  • Delivering friendly, attentive service across the bar and any table orders
  • Handling payments accurately and keeping the till reconciled
  • Responding to guest requests and special occasions with genuine hospitality
  • Flagging anything that needs attention
  • Working safely and legally around licensing law and Challenge 25
  • Keeping the bar area secure, and cash and stock accounted for
  • Locking up and leaving the bar ready for the next shift
  • Reliable above all — a busy bar only works if everyone turns up
  • Weekend & evening availability
  • Comfortable working under pressure during a full service
  • Basic knowledge of traditional and modern mixology
  • Basic knowledge of financials — stock take, menu costing, menu engineering
  • WSET Level 1 (or equivalent) required
  • Friendly, guest-focused, and comfortable striking up conversation
  • Discreet and trustworthy — you'll be handling cash, stock and guest trust
  • Own transport is helpful given the hours and location
  • Previous bar experience is welcome; hotel or resort bar experience is a real plus
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
