Role overview

Leads bakery production and a small team producing fresh bread and treats.

Responsibilities

  • Bake products from scratch early each morning, following recipes.
  • Train, develop, manage, and lead production staff to ensure timely, high-quality output.
  • Set and review production schedules to meet customer needs.
  • Help keep the bakery clean and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in a bakery or food production environment.
  • Forecast and adjust production levels using business data.
  • Positive leadership, fast learning, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Able to work independently or with a small team and start early.
  • Customer service experience is preferred; previous COBS baker experience is an asset.

Physical requirements

  • Continuous standing and walking; frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
  • Frequent turning and reaching; occasional pushing, pulling, and forward bending.
  • Lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 metres; frequent hand and wrist use.
