Backend & Integrations Engineer

• This role is focused on building and maintaining backend systems and enterprise integrations that power Eddekhar’s core platform.
• You will work closely with our technical lead on APIs, HR/payroll integrations, banking integrations, infrastructure reliability, and scalable backend architecture.
• We are looking for someone multidisciplinary who is comfortable owning integrations end-to-end, debugging complex workflows, and building reliable systems in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations
• Build and maintain integrations with HR systems, payroll providers, banks, and third-party enterprise platforms
• Own integration workflows end-to-end, from API analysis and implementation to debugging and monitoring
• Work with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0 flows, webhooks, background jobs, queues, and distributed systems
• Debug and troubleshoot integration workflows, API failures, infrastructure issues, and production incidents
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver reliable features
• Improve backend architecture, integration reliability, system performance, and engineering standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Help build reusable integration patterns, internal tooling, and scalable microservice-based workflows

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience with
• PHP/Laravel and Node.js
• Strong proficiency in designing and consuming

REST APIs

• , including API versioning, error handling, and API security
• Deep understanding of
• OAuth 2.0 flows
• and hands-on experience implementing secure authorization mechanisms
• Solid experience with
• SQL and NoSQL databases

• or similar message brokers, including queue design, exchange patterns, and reliable message delivery
• Strong command of software design patterns, with practical experience applying layered architectures such as the

• Experience writing and maintaining

• Experience integrating with third-party systems, enterprise platforms, or external APIs
