About This Role
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced backend developer to join our team.
This role requires a deep understanding of server-side logic and a high level of proficiency in languages such as Laravel, PHP, and Node.js.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using PHP, Laravel and Node.js.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Design and implement efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize product performance.
- Ensure high-quality performance, responsiveness, and reliability of applications.
- Implement data protection and security features.
- Participate in **peer-to-peer code reviews**, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.
- Use **AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor & AI)** to improve code quality, productivity, and debugging efficiency.
- Understand and implement the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Provide training and support to internal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven work experience as a backend developer.
- Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, PHP, Node.js, and Python.
- Understanding of server-side templating languages.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Strong unit test and debugging skills.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
