AWS Cloud Engineer (4–7 Years)

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Work extensively with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB/ALB, Route 53, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
• Build, deploy, and support microservices-based applications.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate backend services and REST APIs.
• Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance.
• Implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, authentication, and access controls.
• Work with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ for event-driven architectures.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery for cloud applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 4–7 years of experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudWatch).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, or .NET).
• Good understanding of IAM, OAuth2, cloud security, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good to Have
• AWS Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent).
• Exposure to Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience working in Banking, FinTech, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
