Role overview

Development lead responsible for hands-on technical leadership and delivery of cloud-native applications across the Sypher team.

The Enterprise Integration Services organization builds and operates secure, scalable integrations using APIs, middleware, authentication, messaging, and file-based integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud-native application development and delivery across development and run teams.
  • Design and implement CI/CD processes and guide architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Partner with Product Management, Platform Engineering, internal technical teams, and vendors to deliver products and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate engineering delivery across locations and continually evaluate modern development practices.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of system engineering experience, or high school diploma/GED with 7+ years of skilled system engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years of Java and Spring Boot experience building enterprise-grade services.
  • Expertise in cloud-native applications and microservices architecture.
  • Experience delivering SDKs, including API design, compatibility and versioning, documentation, releases, and consumer enablement.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on cloud platforms such as AWS and PCF.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema, performance, and transactional access patterns.
  • Understanding of encryption, tokenization, and protection of data in transit and at rest.
  • Experience with observability, logging, and production monitoring tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
