Role overview
The AV Engineer joins the Events & Production team and supports live events, corporate events, exhibitions, and large-scale productions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, operate, and dismantle professional AV equipment for events.
- Configure and troubleshoot LED screens, projectors, video processors, cameras, audio systems, and control systems.
- Test equipment before events, monitor systems during events, and resolve faults promptly.
- Coordinate with production, technical, and event teams; provide on-site technical support.
- Conduct equipment checks, maintenance, and basic repairs.
- Assist with technical drawings, equipment lists, signal flow, and system configurations.
- Handle equipment safely during transport, installation, and dismantling.
- Follow company safety procedures and technical standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Audio Visual, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of AV production experience; events-industry experience is preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, LED, and control systems.
- Experience with LED processors, video switchers, projectors, signal distribution, SDI/HDMI, and networking.
- AV-over-IP and basic networking knowledge is an advantage.
- Able to troubleshoot, understand signal flow and AV integration, communicate, work in a team, and perform under live-event pressure.
- Available for flexible hours, weekends, evenings, and public holidays as event requirements dictate.
