Job summary

Design and implement automated validation solutions for APIs, data pipelines, transformations, database reconciliation, and regression testing.

Build reusable automation frameworks, integrate test suites with CI/CD pipelines, and produce execution evidence and reporting.

Work arrangement

  • The job can be performed fully remotely.
  • Candidates located near a PLATO office location will be required to work in a hybrid arrangement.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of test automation experience, preferably in an enterprise-level data integration project.
  • Have 5 or more years of experience building reusable automation frameworks using advanced Python development.
  • Hold current Government of Canada Reliability clearance or higher at the time of application.
  • Have advanced knowledge of Python, Pytest, Playwright, Requests or HTTPX, Pandas or PySpark, and SQL.
  • Have advanced knowledge of Postman/Newman, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka or Event Hub, JFrog Artifactory, and Allure or an equivalent tool.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated validation for APIs, ETL and data pipelines, transformations, database reconciliation, and regression testing.
  • Build reusable automation frameworks using advanced Python development.
  • Perform SQL-based validation and reconciliation.
  • Validate schemas, contracts, and batch or event-driven interfaces.
  • Create automated reporting and logging solutions.
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Follow Git branching and code review best practices.
  • Produce test execution evidence and reports.
