Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment and systems.
Support AV operations in banquet and meeting rooms and assist guests with equipment use.
AV equipment duties
- Set up banquet and meeting room AV equipment and check delivered equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order.
- Keep equipment operational; repair or clean it when necessary, label broken equipment, and report problems.
- Tape down and dress loose wires and cables; communicate additions or deletions to flowsheets.
- Assist guests and customers with AV equipment, offer additional AV services, and monitor equipment operation.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
- Read and follow the Marriott Visual Productions SOP book.
Service and workplace standards
- Follow safety, security, and quality procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and protect company assets and confidential information.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and physical requirements
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified.
- Must be able to handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- No license or certification is specified.
