Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Technician role based in AUH .
The Audio Visual Technician will install, configure, test, and maintain AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and control systems, in corporate, educational, retail & hospitality.
The role includes setting up and supporting video conferencing solutions, ensuring optimal audio and video quality, and performing routine checks .
The technician will diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, carry out preventive maintenance, and document system configurations and service activities.
Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients is required to understand technical requirements, provide user guidance, and ensure systems are delivered on time and to specification while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and commission Audio-Visual systems and equipment.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for AV systems, including audio, video, control, and conferencing solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of AV equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related AV issues.
- Support video conferencing platforms, digital signage systems, and meeting room technologies.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Conduct system testing and ensure all installations meet quality and operational standards.
- Train end-users on the proper use of AV systems when required.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry best practices.
- Respond promptly to service requests and provide effective site support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in AV, Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Relevant AV certifications (such as CTS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Q-SYS, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, control systems, networking fundamentals, and video conferencing technologies.
- Familiarity with AV installation standards and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical AV Support Engineer, AV Technician, or Site Support Technician.
- Proven experience supporting corporate AV environments, meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, and integrated AV solutions.
- Experience in troubleshooting AV hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Additional Requirements
- UAE Driving License would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple support requests effectively.
