We are hiring an
Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations
role for one of our retail distribution company, the responsibilities would typically include mid-level operational management with strong focus on warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, team supervision, and retail distribution support.
Typical Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Supervise warehouse staff, team leaders, and shift operations to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock audits, reconciliation, and ERP/WMS tracking.
- Ensure timely fulfilment and dispatch of retail store orders, e-commerce orders, and distribution requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, supply chain, and retail operations teams for smooth stock movement.
- Maintain warehouse KPIs such as SLA adherence, order accuracy, productivity, shrinkage control, and inventory variance.
- Support implementation of SOPs, process improvements, and warehouse optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company operational standards.
- Prepare operational reports related to inventory, dispatch, manpower, damages, and warehouse performance.
- Handle escalations related to stock discrepancies, delivery delays, damages, and operational bottlenecks.
- Support manpower planning, shift scheduling, staff training, and performance monitoring.
- Manage ERP/WMS transactions and ensure accurate documentation of inbound and outbound activities.
- Coordinate with transport providers and vendors for smooth logistics and delivery operations.
