Background and skills

• Life and Annuity Insurance operations background, including policy administration and claims.
• Group Insurance background is an advantage.
• Transition management background, people leadership, and stakeholder management are specified.
• Business and financial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, project management, and ability to manage multiple priorities are specified.
• Exposure to AI tools and ability to use them in daily operations are specified.

Account and client delivery

• Manage overall operations for an aligned account and partner with clients and internal stakeholders to manage global delivery.
• Run zero-surprise operations and ensure basic account operating practices are established and followed.
• Drive cost and revenue goals and steer client growth conversations; prepare points of view for client discussions.
• Establish process understanding, add value for teams and clients, and participate in solution workshops to develop future-state processes.
• Innovate processes by introducing modern technologies and solutions.

People leadership and performance

• Lead employee engagement, rewards, and recognition to drive performance and mitigate attrition.
• Assess leadership competencies, develop staff through training and career planning, and coach employees; provide input into hiring decisions.
• Monitor cluster performance, provide feedback to supervisors and associates, and prepare fair, accurate, thorough performance reviews.
• Build effective delivery teams and manage remote teams while maintaining workforce engagement.

Compliance and continuous improvement

• Coordinate with other units to align processes and minimize revenue loss.
• Monitor compliance with department, business unit, and regulatory standards and practices.
• Analyze data and process gaps, identify root causes, and develop recommendations and remediation action plans.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience managing Life and Annuity Insurance operations, including policy administration and claims.
• Experience setting up teams and managing independent transitions and account growth.
• Team-handling or people-facing experience and a proven record managing 150 or more team members.
• Graduate in any stream; MBA is preferred.
• Ability to build client and internal stakeholder relationships and serve as a client or leadership group's single point of contact.

Preferred background

• ALMI/FLMI and US Insurance Group Benefits experience are preferred.
• Exposure to P&L management is specified as part of business and financial acumen.
