Chedid Re, a company of Chedid Capital, is looking for an Associate Manager – Liability.

The role involves performing complex brokerage activities within the liability line of business, including managing client needs, compliance and market validation activities, maintaining renewals and retention ratios, resolving complaints, reviewing files, and supporting ongoing business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance existing products and underwriting guidelines, while identifying new products, market segments, and opportunities through market trends and competitor analysis
  • Promote Chedid Re services to support business development activities
  • Provide technical advice to cedants and reinsurers to ensure service quality and client satisfaction
  • Assess portfolio performance by identifying risks impacting profitability and proposing mitigation solutions
  • Monitor retention ratios and renewals to support portfolio management objectives
  • Coordinate with insurers and reinsurers to negotiate quotations, terms, and finalize deals
  • Review and endorse proposal components including pricing, terms, and conditions
  • Perform underwriting analysis, review required information, and ensure alignment with binding agreements
  • Benchmark underwriting, placement, and employer plan data to support decision-making
  • Coordinate with insurers on large contracts to gather information and assess client needs
  • Liaise internally and externally to resolve queries, support clients, and ensure smooth operations
  • Review final files to ensure accuracy and obtain approval
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Claims, Accounting, etc.) to meet client requirements
  • Prepare management, renewal, production, and new business reports for reporting and decision-making
  • Perform compliance checks and escalate identified issues for resolution
  • Follow up on mid-term changes and endorsements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Insurance, or related field
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certificate is preferred
  • 4–6 years of insurance/reinsurance broking experience in the UAE
  • Fluent in English, Hindi preferred
