About the Business

Job Purpose

Strategic Procurement and Supplier Management

• Coordinate procurement activities across sites and align strategic plans with operational needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for quality and cost-effective OPEX items.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and improve vendor performance.
• Plan CAPEX procurement needs, formulate EPC contract terms, evaluate bids, negotiate with vendors, and obtain approvals.

Inventory and Financial Management

• Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, reconcile discrepancies, and determine reorder points and quantities.
• Generate inventory reports, forecast requirements, and follow up on site stock and contractor consumption.
• Analyze procurement costs, identify savings opportunities, manage budgets, and provide management updates.
• Manage RFPs, proposal evaluations, negotiations, vendor selection, contract awards, and purchase orders.

Contract and Vendor Management

• Prepare and maintain contract documents and ERP contract records in line with approved protocols.
• Manage bank guarantee and customs-related documents, rate contracts, master agreements, and procurement orders.
• Coordinate vendor evaluations, approved vendor lists, segmentation matrices, scorecards, and improvement actions.

Operational Coordination and Compliance

• Coordinate with site managers and operational teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve procurement issues.
• Manage urgent procurement requests, audit queries, SOP updates, pending purchase requisitions, and review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with quality, legal, financial, safety, delegation-of-authority, and IMS requirements.

Technology and Stakeholders

• Use digital solutions for expenditure tracking, project management, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Work with sites, projects, marketing, finance, quality assurance, vendors, suppliers, agencies, and auditors.

Experience

• More than 12 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement.
• Experience in mining and material handling procurement, including mining or EPC contractors, explosives, CHPP, or project monitoring.
