Associate Data Analyst

Role overview

Location and schedule

• Hybrid role in Birmingham, with at least three days each week in the office.
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30am–5:30pm.
• Permanent position.

Analysis toolkit

• The toolkit includes Power BI, Databricks with SQL and Python notebooks, VS Code, Git, and Power Automate.

Key responsibilities

• Answer business questions with correct, relevant data and maintain operational dashboards and data tools.
• Validate data, implement needed changes, respond to ad hoc requests, and contribute to larger projects.
• Build knowledge of the logistics business and collaborate with data, reporting, and wider analysis teams.
• Learn new tools, share good practice, track work, and raise blockers or competing priorities.

Knowledge and experience

• Experience in data analysis, including an apprenticeship or related degree.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, SQL, Power BI (DAX), or advanced Excel analysis.
• Able to validate and clean data, locate relevant data with shared tools, and present insights clearly.
• Able to work with varied data quality and ambiguity; attention to detail and willingness to seek feedback.
