Associate Civil Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform basic civil engineering calculations, analyses, and design assignments.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and engineering documentation.
• Support preparation of specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and construction documents.
• Assist senior engineers in reviewing drawings, technical submittals, and technical bid analyses.
• Coordinate with CAD designers and drafters and other engineering disciplines.
• Support project activities related to design, procurement, project controls, and construction.
• Perform other engineering duties as required by the project.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, methods, and practices.
• Familiarity with CAD and standard engineering software.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and prepare technical documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desired skills and experience

• Exposure to civil engineering design and construction projects is desired.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, and quantity takeoffs is desired.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are desired.
• Willingness to learn under the guidance of experienced engineers and work in a project-based multidisciplinary environment is desired.
