The role
Create high-quality robotics-sector journalism for researchers, builders, investors, and industry leaders.
Coverage includes industry and market news, investigations, company analysis, technology comparisons, manufacturing, deployments, funding, M&A, strategy, and trends.
What you will do
- Produce original business and industry journalism and identify important stories and market developments early.
- Investigate companies, technologies, claims, and industry trends; analyse competitors and market developments.
- Build relationships with manufacturers and companies, and develop and maintain industry sources.
- Work with global field teams to gather information directly from sources.
- Use data, research, and primary sources to strengthen reporting.
- Explain complex developments clearly and authoritatively.
Who they are looking for
- Around 2–4 years of professional experience in business, industry, technology, or specialist journalism.
- Strong business and investigative journalism experience, excellent written English, and strong research, interviewing, and fact-checking skills.
- Experience developing industry sources and working directly with companies.
- Ability to analyse companies, markets, and competitive landscapes; strong editorial judgment and clear communication of complex topics.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy or depth.
Preferred experience
- Robotics, automation, manufacturing, industrial technology, engineering, deep tech, or related-industry coverage is highly preferred.
