Associate Accountant

About This Role

We are looking for a  highly organized and detail-oriented Associate Accountant  with  1–3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm in UAE . The ideal candidate is comfortable working with accounting software, managing client records, and supporting the month-end closing process with accuracy and efficiency. 

This role requires someone who thrives in a structured environment, keeps things well-documented, and ensures every financial detail is properly captured and reported. 

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate accounting records for clients.
• Support the  month-end and year-end closing  process.
• Prepare basic financial statements and internal audit working files.
• Ensure  compliance with IFRS standards  in client records.
• Perform  account reconciliations  and maintain clear audit trails.
• Manage both  digital and physical filing systems  for client documents.
• Assist with  VAT return filings, amendments, and registration  using the  EmaraTax portal .
• Communicate with clients to request documents, clarify issues, and provide accounting support.
• Use accounting platforms such as  QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books, and Odoo  confidently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping firm experience in UAE .
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT rules and compliance.
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo).
• Ability to handle multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Days:  Monday to Saturday 

Working Hours:  9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch break) 

Salary Range:  AED 3,500 – 5,000 (based on experience)
