Associate Accountant

About This Role

Paradyme is looking for an Associate Accountant with experience in regulated financial services to join our team in Dubai. This role will play a key part in finance, accountant & bookkeeping and compliance and offer direct exposure to senior management and involvement across finance and compliance functions.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Support management accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs and year‑end financial statements.
• Perform GL reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT Reports, Returns and Refund Applications and Corporate Tax Return on a timely basis.
• Ensure all regulatory filings, including PIB returns, are prepared in advance and submitted to the authorities within deadlines.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Provide financial insights to senior management to support decision‑making.
• Support regulatory and compliance related activities, including policies, registers, and AML/KYC reviews.
• Work closely with senior management on day-to-day finance and compliance matters.

Qualifications and Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and holding a professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in external/ internal audit, accounting or financial services
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with either DFSA or FSRA regulated firms
• Experience and understanding of the regulated financial services environment.

Technical Skills:  

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of advanced Excel, coding (Python, C++) is an advantage
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks).
• Strong Project Management skills
