Assistant Safety Coordinator
Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team on our project site in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing the project’s safety program and promoting a zero-accident culture.
Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Support safety inspections and help identify and correct deficiencies in the field.
Maintain accurate safety documentation and assist with training sessions on topics such as fall protection, confined space, and OSHA requirements.
Collaborate with project teams and trade partners to ensure safety compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, safety management, or a related field.
- Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills, and a “team first” mindset.
- Ability to identify and resolve safety issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred:
- Internship or prior experience in construction or engineering environment.
- Formal safety training, including OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and knowledge of fall protection, excavation, and confined space protocols.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHSP).
- Willingness to relocate for project assignments and career growth opportunities.
