Role summary
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations.
The role supports service quality, food quality and safety, staff supervision, sales and profitability goals, and a positive dining experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily restaurant operations and supervise and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Schedule shifts, manage attendance, train new employees, and provide ongoing coaching.
- Deliver excellent customer service and promptly resolve complaints.
- Monitor food quality and cleanliness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food and labor costs.
- Manage cash, balance registers, and prepare daily sales reports.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and employee performance evaluations.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Help achieve sales targets and improve operational efficiency.
- Cover for the Restaurant Manager during absences.
