Assistant Professor, History

Housed in Butler University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Department of History, Anthropology, and Classics currently has fourteen full-time faculty who serve a growing and diverse population of students. In addition to our history offerings, we offer majors that blend history with Classics, political science, and anthropology, as well as minors in geography and museum studies. Our department is interdisciplinary in composition as well as outlook and mission. We share Butler University’s commitment to a transformational education for our students that interrogates various forms of social, racial, and political inequalities and strives for more equitable futures. The department is dedicated to building an inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population.
