Production operations
- Assist the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising daily plant production activities.
- Monitor production schedules, output targets, and performance to achieve production plans.
- Supervise production supervisors, operators, and plant staff to maintain smooth operations.
- Monitor dairy processing, including milk processing, pasteurization, homogenization, filling, and packaging.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, and Supply Chain to avoid delays.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Optimize raw materials, packaging materials, manpower, utilities, and other production resources.
- Identify bottlenecks and operational issues; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track production losses, wastage, rejection rates, and overall operational efficiency.
Compliance and reporting
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, hygiene requirements, company procedures, HACCP, GMP, workplace safety, and applicable food safety requirements.
- Maintain production reports, shift records, downtime reports, and other operational documentation.
- Support continuous improvement to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Assist with training, developing, and evaluating production employees.
- Ensure housekeeping, sanitation, and plant safety standards are maintained.
- Prepare production performance reports and provide management updates.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of production operations experience; dairy, food processing, or FMCG experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of dairy processing, production planning, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety, quality assurance, and workplace safety standards.
- Experience in production reporting, manpower planning, inventory control, and performance monitoring.
- Strong leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet production targets, use MS Excel and production reporting systems, and work shifts as required.
Preferred skills
- Dairy plant or large-scale food production experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of pasteurization, homogenization, UHT processing, filling, packaging, and CIP systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with production KPIs, OEE, downtime analysis, yield improvement, and waste reduction is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar manufacturing systems, is preferred.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 9,000–10,000 per month.
