Overview
We are looking to hire an
Assistant Manager - Handover & DLP Management
who will be responsible for managing the
closure of community snags and defects during the Defects Liability Period (DLP)
, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding issues
across common and public areas
in coordination with internal stakeholders and contractors for our
semi-government client
based in
Dubai
, which is one of the largest companies in the region.
This position is a
contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable
based on performance and business requirements.
The role sits within the
Handing Over & DLP Department
and reports directly to the
Senior Manager.
We are looking for a passionate
Assistant Manager - Handover & DLP Management
who is experienced in post-handover defect management and community support operations.
You should also have strong knowledge of facilities management, community operations, and contractor coordination during DLP phases.
Key responsibilities
- Manage closure of outstanding community snags identified by community management teams and ensure timely resolution during the DLP period
- Oversee and coordinate rectification of defects in common and public areas across residential communities
- Liaise with stakeholders including community management, FM teams, and contractors to ensure effective defect resolution
- Conduct site inspections to verify completion of reported issues and ensure compliance with agreed standards
- Maintain and update defect tracking logs and ensure accurate documentation of all reported and closed items
- Escalate delays or non-compliance issues to relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
- Ensure all DLP-related obligations are met prior to handover completion deadlines
- Support continuous improvement of defect management and community handover processes
- Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Sc. Engineering) or similar
- **7 - 10 years**
- of experience in facilities management, community operations, or
- post-handover defect/DLP management
- Strong experience
- managing community defects,
- particularly in common areas and infrastructure
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with exposure to developers, FM providers, and contractors
- Strong understanding of
- DLP processes, snagging, and handover procedures
- **UAE Driving License**
- with own vehicle is mandatory
- Strong communication skills in
English; Arabic and Urdu
- will be an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
Availability
Preference will be given to candidates who are
immediately available.
