Role overview
Assistant Manager, Engineering opportunity at Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering strategies, preventive maintenance schedules, and energy-saving initiatives.
- Supervise daily operations, work-order completion, and adherence to SOPs; coordinate support for guest services and events.
- Monitor JEMS, fire safety, life safety, and health compliance.
- Manage spare-parts and tool inventory, procurement, and cost-effective usage.
- Prepare maintenance, equipment-performance, and budget reports; support staff recruitment, training, and development.
- Handle escalated technical issues and coordinate specialist repairs with vendors.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of engineering operations experience in luxury hospitality, including 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- English proficiency is essential.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest requests and service recovery.
