Position summary

Kitchen operations

• Determine food presentation and create decorative displays; ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishes.
• Monitor food quantities and inform Food and Beverage staff about specials and out-of-stock menu items.
• Prepare special meals or substitutes; assist cooks and kitchen staff and provide needed items.
• Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock, and maintain food-safety and food-product logs.
• Check food quality and notify the manager when products do not meet specifications.

Team leadership and service

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Address guest service needs, communicate clearly and professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Safety and physical duties

• Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance; protect company assets and confidential information; meet quality expectations.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; reach, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
• 4 to 6 years of related work experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.
