Assistant Food Service Manager - Private School

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations, administration, staffing, scheduling, and training.
• Assist with administration, staffing, rentals, setup, and execution of catered events.
• Coordinate with guests, employees, and management to identify operational efficiencies and improve guest experience.
• Generate reports, enter invoices, maintain online inventory, and support ordering.
• Support retail operations and sales through product ordering, POS, inventory management, marketing initiatives, vending, and satellite retail for offsite events.
• Support company policies, health and safety programs, and company initiatives.
• Assist food service, catering, housekeeping, and facility management departments as needed.

Qualifications

• A post-graduate diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, or Administration is preferred.
• Previous catering and event experience is preferred.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented and able to complete administrative work and generate reports.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to learn applications and navigate POS, inventory, and ordering systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with flexibility to shift priorities.

Compensation

• Salary is $53,045–$55,000 per annum.
