Assistant Finance Manager

Role overview

Accounting and client services

• Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned clients; review bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and other transactions.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports; ensure accounting records are accurate and properly classified.
• Monitor client schedules, deadlines, and deliverables; assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Manage client accounting requirements, respond to queries, obtain financial documents, provide practical support, and escalate complex matters as needed.

Reporting, compliance, and team supervision

• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation; assist with applicable tax and financial compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and other external professionals and support audit and statutory requirements.
• Supervise, guide, allocate work to, and review accountants and accounting assistants; monitor performance and deadlines and provide coaching.

Process improvement

• Identify process and workflow improvements, assist with accounting controls and procedures, and support effective use of accounting software and digital solutions.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 10–11 years of relevant accounting experience; accounting, audit, tax, or professional services firm experience is preferred.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience handling multiple client accounts and deliverables, and reviewing financial statements and reconciliations.
• UAE accounting, VAT, and corporate tax knowledge is an advantage.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 11,000 per month.
