Role overview

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 10–11 years of relevant accounting experience; accounting, audit, tax, or professional services firm experience is preferred.
• CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with multiple client accounts, financial statement review, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of UAE accounting, VAT, and corporate tax requirements is advantageous.
• Ability to independently manage assignments, review staff work, communicate with clients, and support quality service delivery.

Accounting and financial management

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients.
• Review bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and other transactions.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate, complete, properly classified records in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
• Perform and review reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and monitor schedules, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Client accounting and advisory

• Manage accounting requirements across a portfolio of clients in different industries.
• Serve as a key client contact for accounting matters and financial reporting requirements.
• Understand client operations, provide practical accounting guidance, respond to queries, and obtain required financial documents.
• Identify accounting issues and escalate complex matters when required.

Reporting, compliance, and team supervision

• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Assist with VAT, corporate tax, and other financial compliance requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external professionals; support audits and statutory requirements.
• Supervise, allocate, guide, and review accounting staff work and support team development through coaching and training.
• Improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and controls; support effective use of accounting software and digital solutions.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 11,000 per month.
