Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar for an Assistant Chef.
The Assistant Chef will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and adhering to health and safety standards.
They will collaborate with the head chef and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
include preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, maintaining inventory, and ensuring food quality meets high standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in basic culinary skills such as food preparation, cooking techniques, and ingredient handling
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene protocols, and kitchen sanitation
- Ability to follow recipes, manage time effectively, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- A keen eye for detail, creativity, and a passion for culinary arts
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Formal culinary training or a diploma in culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is advantageous
