Assistant Category Manager

Overview

• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category growth and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of category strategies, including product assortment, pricing, and promotional plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, merchandising, and supply chain, to execute category initiatives and drive successful product launches.
• Manage and maintain product catalogs, ensuring accuracy of product information, images, and specifications across all relevant platforms.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast product demand to minimize stockouts and optimize inventory turns, improving overall category profitability.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and promotional support, maximizing category margin and profitability.
• Conduct regular store visits and market research to understand consumer preferences and identify new product opportunities, staying ahead of market changes.
• Prepare and present category performance reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations to senior management, providing actionable insights.
• Assist in the planning and execution of promotional activities and marketing campaigns, ensuring effective product placement and driving sales.
