Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage daily accounting operations for our retail stores Book Corner & Funzone.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE **VAT**, **Corporate Tax**, and standard accounting practices.
Female candidates only with sponsor visa.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
- Handle VAT calculations, returns filing, and compliance as per FTA guidelines.
- Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance, record-keeping, and filing.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash.
- Monitor inventory costing, stock adjustments, and purchase entries.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of sales, expenses, and supplier payments.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and management.
- Prepare payroll, leave salary, and end-of-service calculations.
- Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure all accounting data is filed securely and updated regularly.
- Generate periodic reports for management decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
- Minimum 2–3 years accounting experience in UAE (retail experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of **UAE VAT** and **Corporate Tax** regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
